Here it comes.. John Dory Fish Fillet

How can I forgot that there's also an infra red device? Get lost with GigiBiru.. no matter what, John Dory still want to show off his cheesy face here..

As you can see, there's the fillet with its companion set of side dishes. Scrambled egg, blanched broccoli, fried potato wedges & dry-fried cherry tomato. This is the 'gift' to Mr. Hubby's round belly as he coming back from his work past few days.

  • First, have to visit the Giant/ Tesco/ Carrefour supermarket to get the frozen Dory Fish fillet. They have a packet of 2 or 3 or 4. Depend to your needs.

  • Marinate the fillet with HP BBQ Sauce mixed with crushed black pepper & a pinch of salt. For a max taste, keep it marinated for half-an-hour.

  • Butterize (is it the correct word?) the baking pan. Make sure it is a bowl/pot type because the fillet will be a little bit watery while being heated.
  • Scatter as much as you like (my fav step) the Pizza Plus Cheese & Oregano.
  • Bake at 180 deg C for 20-30 mins. Still, it depends.

Taaa raaaa.... It will loook like this. Sure, I don't have to tell you how to prepare the side dishes, do what you like with it.

Served with chopped parsley, just to add to the 'artistic impressionism' of it.

Apa Jadi dgn GigiBiru ku????

I've been figuring out what happened to my laptop bluetooth connection these 2 days?? Kinda simple problem but still I coudn't sort the root. It's getting more irritating when Mr.Hubby seems not really providing a helping hand..come on lah,is it too complicated? The Dory Fish Steak pics are in my handphone, and I am eagerly wanna share the recipe with u (with whom??) because it's to delicious yet very simple preparation..isn't it something that all the wifey looking for? My IT manager is now in Terengganu, taking care of another IT assignment & Mr Hubby will only be back on Saturday morning so I guess my GigiBiru problem can only be solved by then...huhhh!!!

Right at this moment..let's talk about CHOCOLATE!

I'm not that so-called 'chocolate lover' & I can easily remember how many times a year I eat chocolate. But, that 'a few times a year' is only referred to "My Precious Times with Hanuta & Giotto".

Ladies & Gentlemen!! I present to you..GIOTTO or his full name is FERRERO GIOTTO. It comes in 4 packets per box & there's 9 balls of chocolate roundies in 1 packet. It is an original Italian Recipe but it's a product of Germany. This hazelnut filled chocballs is the one that I always crave for..no turning back!! ahaha...

This is what it looks like!! Yummy enough?? Can you imagine the 'cruchyness' of its shells then when it comes into your mouth,it melts together with that rich-textured chocolate?Ahhh..making my eyes closed everytime I enjoy this moment..(sound like TV commercial). Hardly get in KL, Mr Hubby will get it for me whenever he is in Frankfurt.

Another Yummilicious of Mine is HANUTA..

Here it is!!! It's a chocolate in between waffles. See,that's my fav-they have just the right ratio of creamy and crunchy. The delicious combination of hazelnut and chocolate makes them so special. Wanna have a closer look?

Are your eyes teary now?? Hehehe...

Weekend Activity

Finished dish washing, lunch cooking (Mak’s menu today,I was just helping..so,predictably..curry again..hehehe,it’s being Ayah’s fav since then).. Mak Chaq is here, with Mira & Aina too.. I just let them with their ‘issues’ downstairs..

Yesterday, went to Jijah’s wedding with my huha-huha forever friends- Nik & Elena. Met Jae (Dr.Haizam), Azah 5G & Zue. We had a really enjoyable memory-recalling session during the lunch. Soo enjoyable until we shared a tearful laughs together gether.. I didn’t see any other ex-pc there, where were they?? After eating, it was a congrat-wishing session, then photo-snapping session & good luck wishing session & then… muah muah..dismissed. It’s the usual & normal thing to do at a friend’s wedding, isn’t it?

I was first thinking of staying overnight at Nik’s so that we could have a ‘heart-to-heart chatting’ or more known as mengumpat session..but at the end of day, realizing that hey,we’re 30 now…so I just cancelled the plan. Afraid that I might be telling something that I shouldn’t to.. Ya Allah, thank you for Your guidance & reminder. Sorry Nik, may be next time. However, glad to see a pair of your ‘gems’ Aisyah & Adib, grown up that fast. Sorry ya, Aunty didn’t bring anything for you. Being a ‘childless’ (at this moment), Aunty sometimes forget to win little kiddy’s heart.

Elena is now engaged, to an ex-Banting, used to be Nik’s enemy..that’s why she didn’t get the Nik’s blessing..(ahaaa just kidding)..Well my friend, welcome to the club! Nik, stop asking her.. “of all the men out there, why must him?” It understood oledi lah…Kuch Kuch Hota Hai…what else to say?? Kan kan elin kan??

Just had a YM chat with Mr.Hubby. Flight will be a couple of hours delayed, so I guess he’ll be arriving at about noon tomorrow. Ermmm…what’s for lunch tomorrow? Any ideas? Do I need to brainstorm to cook? This is what happening when you are a DO (dapur officer) everyday.. Sometimes, I just turn blank of what to cook..

Nasi Goreng Udang Kunyit

Today, we had Nasi Goreng Udang Kunyit for breakfast. That's the name Mr.Hubby gives to my again, my very-own-style nasi goreng. I used to cook nasi goreng since I was in Std.4.. It's still clear in my eyes, almost everyday then, I went into the kitchen & prepared any kind (you name it) of nasi goreng...All by myself.. I just created any recipes that came into my mind...put anything that my eyes could reach, that's what I've been doing until now.. Recipe Creating.. Mr.Hubby, my brothers & sisters, my 30 nieces & nephews, have all recognized my 'hand water'..(hahahahaha..air tangan lah cik kak).. Feel free to try...

  1. Cut the 'misai udang & its muncung'.. Do not peel.

  2. Chop 2-3 cloves of garlic & onion.

  3. Heat oil in a pan, then fry the garlic & onion until lightly golden.

  4. Put in prawns. Continue frying.

  5. Put in half-teaspoon of turmeric powder. Enough to make the rice looks yellowish.

  6. Cut carrot into cubes & add to the mixture. Add some soy sauce. (Not too much,it will spoil the 'kunyit' taste)

  7. Put in egg(s) & scramble it to mix up with the fried ingredients.

  8. Add in shredded turmeric leaf & chopped bird's eye chilli. Add some crushed black pepper. (You will find black pepper in most of my recipes..i just couldn't live without it..hey,it helps you to lose some weight you now!!)

  9. Stir well, mix it up. Add a pinch of salt to taste.

  10. Pour in white rice. Stir occasionally so that the mixture does not stick to the pan. Then, add some onion leaves (this is called direct translation...daun bawang).

  11. DONE & you will notice that, this nasi goreng doesn't taste the same like all we have at the restaurant tomyam out there!!!

Butterfly Kisses

I just add a Video in the down column here..Butterfly Kisses is the all-time my favourite song..My eyes burst in tears almost everytime i listen to this..Remind me of him,his unconditional love..his gentle & tenderness..Oh God knows how much I miss him, every second of my life. Just dreaming of him could make me smiling all day long..I really longed for his touch, for his jokes, for his words... No one could ever replace him in my life.. Al-Fatihah,May Allah bless you Bak,and gives you His light..Love you so much..
There's two things I know for sure.
She was sent here from heaven, and she's daddy's little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night,
she talks to *****,and I close my eyes.
And I thank God for all the joy in my life,
Oh, but most of all, for...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk beside the pony, daddy, it's my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, daddy, but I sure tried."
Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.
Sweet sixteen today, she’s looking like her momma a little more every day.
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and makeup, from ribbons and curls.
Trying her wings out in a great big world.
But I remember...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you, daddy, but if you don't mind,
I'm only going to kiss you on the cheek this time."
Oh, with all that I’ve done wrong, i must have done something right.
To deserve her love every morning and butterfly kisses at night.
All the precious time ... like the wind, the years go by
Precious butterfly ... spread your wings and fly
She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise and I’ll give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her,
she asked me what I’m thinking, and I said
"I’m not sure, I just feel like I’m losing my baby girl."
then she leaned over... and gave me...
Butterfly kisses, with her mama there
sticking little flowers all up in her hair
"Walk me down the aisle, daddy, it's just about time"
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, daddy?"
"Daddy, don't cry."
Oh, with all that I’ve done wrong, i must have done something right
to deserve her love every morning, and butterfly kisses
I couldn't ask god for more.
Man, this is what love is.
I know I’ve gotta let her go, but I’ll always remember
Every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses...

Cheesy Carbonara..Mama Mia...

Yesterday, we had Carbonara Spagetti for lunch..I tell you,it was ummpphhh..walla!! Cheesy creamy carbonara with tons of prawns, crabs & mushrooms.. Of course it's PREGO, but was prepared with my own style. My sis-in-law wondered where & when I learned western cooking.. Well, it wasn't me who answered that question..Mak suddenly said, "she has the ability of figuring out the mixture in most dishes..by just tasting it,smelling it & visualizing it.." Kind of Mr.Ego's (rattatouille) answer..hahaha.. Everyone knows how to cook spaggetti la..

Well, for you friends,I'm not that kind of surreptitious chef (can i call myself a 'chef'..of course,i'm at home everyday cooking & cooking & cooking..morning till evening, day & night..) that so unwilling to let her secrets revealed...But sometimes, there's a group of people who seemingly can't accept when we try to share our knowledge. Why? Just because they are older than us..so they feel they know more than us..But one thing for sure ladies..being OLD doesn't mean they can cook well (hahaha..evil laughing)...We should learn from each other..from time to time.. Ok,enough!!

Here's come the recipes!
  1. Fry prawns (unpeeled) & crabs (small cuts) with chopped garlic, olive oil & 2 spoonful of butter until golden.
  2. Heat a pot, pour 1,2,3 or 4 cans of PREGO Carbonara with a cup of water. Make it thick ya!(depends on your 'size of eaters').
  3. Put in all the fried seafood. Stir well. The reason we fry them first is to add the aroma to the gravy.
  4. Slice thin the Shiitake Mushroom that has been soaked for half-an-hour. Add to the gravy.
  5. Put in (as much as you like) Pizza Plus grated cheese..(there are 3 type of cheese inside it..parmesan,mozarella & forgot).. Stir well.
  6. Don't forget the chopped Oregano.
  7. Please & please do not add salt or sugar or Pak Aji ok.. It's all taken care of by PREGO.

Now,the gravy is done.

  1. Cut into small sizes the Capsicums (1 red & 1 yellow) & Broccolli (of course green..haha). See, now you have a colourful spagetti..
  2. Blanch those vegi in 1 min to heighten the colour of them.

Serve the spaggetti, with Oregano & Black Pepper. DONE!

At last...

I already have 3 blogs - all of them are halfway managed. Why? Well,sometime-in some cases-people can easily change or changed by something. Until tonight, think i'm the same too..
Just had a packet of B'young, so i guess, i'll have only a few minutes left as for now, i'm already yawning badly. Oh, what's new in malaysia-today today? Didn't have a chance to surf since my PC & laptop had been attacked by stronger-than-TB viruses since last night. Hopefully, those who were in blurred vision about the BERSIH rally, are now able to put their thumbs up to the BERSIH team.
Really need to go, until tomorrow...
